У начальному посібнику висвітлено суть агрогрунтознавства і ґрунтотворного процесу, показники родючості і окультуреності грунту; склад, властивості, генезис, географію, екологію грунтів. Наводиться також морфологічна будова профілю, склад та агровиробничі властивості основних грунтових відмін у розрізі зон. Викладено розвиток вчення про грунт і агрогрунтознавство, історію розвитку агрономічної ґрунтознавчої науки. Значну увагу приділено і антропогенно створеним грунтам. The introductory guide covers the essence of agro-soil science and the soil-forming process, indicators of soil fertility and culture; composition, properties, genesis, geography, ecology of soils. The morphological structure of the profile, the composition and agro-production properties of the main soil differences in the cross section of the zones are also given. The development of the doctrine of soil and agro-soil science, the history of the development of agronomic soil science is described.
