Methodology, mechanisms and tools for substantiation of socio-ecological and economic benefits from the implementation of organic production

Abstract

Ukraine is developing in the direction of European integration, which requires adequate standards of living, incl. systematic harmonization of ecological safety and nature conservation, appropriate improvement of policy and legislation, formation of proper management institutions and development programs on the basis of international cooperation. In the context of the decisive strategic tasks of Ukraine, the attention is focused on the conservation and balanced use of biodiversity, land resources, optimization of the landscape structure, incl. agrarian sphere. It is emphasized that due to a number of international, cross-sectoral and inter-regional contradictions of axiological, motivational, political-legal, socio-economic, environmental and other senses the implementation of the norms of balanced nature management is still slowed down. The methodological basis for accelerating the resolution of the problem is the principles of sustainable development, socio-economically-environmentally sustainable use of nature, integrated management. It is substantiated that organic agriculture is an important component of the harmonization of conflicting social, economic and environmental interests of society, enterprises of the agrarian sector of economy and departments of environmental policy. The essence of organic production is presented in the context of harmonization of social, economic and ecological blocks of interests / needs, corresponding motivations and coordination of activities on the basis of balanced nature management and sustainable development of the agrosphere. The corresponding three groups of potential risks, their factors and features of their mutual influence and role in the formation of integrated consequences are identified. The scientific and methodological foundations and prospects of organic food production in Ukraine are characterized. Existing scientific and practical achievements on solving these problems, as well as obstacles and methodological directions of their overcoming at the legislative, regulatory, technological, sectoral, inter-sectoral and international levels of institutional and resource support, integrated management and concerted cooperation are highlighted.
